Mornin', Fishy! Should be a good game next week. Keep Colin in the pocket...

Have you tried Benadryl for sleep? Brooksie's experience is spot on with Ambien.

Tallia, glad to hear you're feeling better this week. You made it through the holidays, so a big congrats on that!

Kell, a big congrats to you on 2 months! Woohoo, Gal--so proud of you!

Gotta run for now--off to work and it's time to go.

Kaneda - have you read this book? I have it and it's next on my list once I'm done with the current recovery book I'm reading.

welcome back Fifth! Life is beautiful.

Good morning all. An unremarkable morning other than the fact that it is five days since I picked myself up after my Christmas slip. Will stop going on about that now I think! The slip was relatively short so thankfully I have not had major withdrawal or anything like that to deal with.

I don't know if I learnt some sort of psychological lesson as a result but drinking over Christmas really wasn't any fun. I feel increasingly that I have not given something up that was a pleasure but am freeing myself from slavery. That helps a lot with the mood issue I think.
Mentium, I slipped on Christmas and it was a completely miserable experience too. The hangover is still seared in my memory and I hope that tattoo never goes away. Even drinking was no fun....so I get what you're saying.

Best of luck in your new freedom!

*****

Kane, I think everyone has to find the way to sobriety that works for them.

Tallia, big hugs to you.

I'm off to work ~ a very busy week with my job and children. Serenity NOW!

I have found the 24-hour club here has a daily reading that I like.

AA has a daily reflection here: http://www.aa.org/lang/en/aareflections.cfm

I bet Kane has some great recommendations, but I think Australia is asleep right now.
