My Gratitude List
My Gratitude List
40 nights ago, I quit Oxycontin...cold turkey.
If it wasn't for my Mom in those first 7 days, I'm not sure I would have made it.
My boyfriend quit cold turkey the same night and every piece of advice and help my Mom gave us, we used to help keep each other alive during the withdrawals.
If it wasn't for my cousin, who is a recovering addict with years under his belt, talking to me and inviting me to a meeting, I wouldn't have made it through to day 40. That same meeting is now my Home Group and I Co-Chair a meeting two times a week.
And lastly, but definitely not least, God. I asked him for help. For strength. For guidance. And for courage. And I continue to ask him for those things daily. I also thank him for showing me that I CAN do it.
