My Higher Power
I am grateful for God and the fact that He shows me how much He loves His children even when we make mistakes or wander away from Him. Sometimes it is with a quiet voice, other times He has to speak a little louder or allows drastic things to happen that may seem like a punishment but it's not. I remember the Bible verse He gave me when I ended up in the hospital and almost died because of my drinking damaging my liver in October this year.

'It was good for me to be afflicted so that I may learn your decrees."
Basically, we can't get where we need to be when we are going the wrong way. I am re-learning how to listen to God's "quiet voice". I like the outcome that a lot better.
