DG 8 months dry i see
We know how this came to be
You had enough , you you did it tough
Sick of being sick and stuff
Your spirit is now free
You journal life in sober days
Helping others find their ways
Unselfish, loving , helpful too
So much goodness is in you.
Crystal clear ' n no more haze
So take a bow now there's no friction
I know you'll stand by your conviction
Incomprehensible it seemed
this is what you once had dreamed
You've triumphed over your addiction.
Bless you DG and thank you for what you bring to all of us .
I love you lots xx

Slugs and bugs. Bats and rats
Crabs
Scabs.
And mouses.
And louses.
Ticks and sticks. Claps and slaps.
Smacks, cries, cracks and sighs.
Stares and wild hairs.....Black mold.
AND HAVING A COLD!
Misery so loves to tell its sad tale,
Thanks you dear friends for letting me wail.
And lay down this load
Of toads.
Crabs
Scabs.
And mouses.
And louses.
Ticks and sticks. Claps and slaps.

I new thread to spread our glee
or issues that challenge
or stray us from balance
so lucky to be part of this limerick tree
Eight months sober for our Drummer Girl
She found SR and gave us a whirl
So glad she did
Add us to her grid
So often she offers that wisdom of pearl
Let's see, Elsewere is having a rant
About this and that type of ant
Snoozy loves DG
She's also a sweetie
There's no tellin these babes "you can't"
Well I must be rockin along
Some work while diggin some song(s)
Soon will be the day
Our limericks make hay
Yes, victory will be mine before long

It's cold and I can't get warm
All due to this snowy storm
Sometimes I think
That a quick stiff drink
Would warm me up this morn.
But soon that warmth would fade.
And my mistake'd be made.
After 22 months
I'd feel like a dunce
To make that foolish trade.
I'd feel so ashamed
With just myself to blame
I'd hide my head
Live a life of dread
Eternal He11 my name!
All due to this snowy storm
Sometimes I think
That a quick stiff drink
Would warm me up this morn.
But soon that warmth would fade.

Christmas threw up in my house
And you can ask my spouse
We've too many trees
But they bring me such glee
One in each room, I admit I am roused
You never have too many lights
But my H thinks It's just not right
"A bit overboard" he said
He should go on to bed
While I stare at them half the night
Cause I'm not giving up the twinkle
Let the lights and fairy dust sprinkle
I have joy like a child
Christmas trees make me smile
Let the holiday bells always jingle.
And you can ask my spouse
We've too many trees
But they bring me such glee

I will make your toenails curl
I'll trip you over
Glue your seat
I will not accept defeat.
I'll pull your hair and kick your shins

Like burning flame on candle wick

But my rooms each have trees!
Well downstairs they do
It cheers me too
That my trees come in threes!
I put lights up outside
So cold I coulda died
They're ccooked a bit
But I got them lit
At least it shows I tried.
My grandsons coming over
So I put Christmas all over
He's excited to visit
I won't have to miss it
Cause this year I am sober.
(Well I was sober last year too.... but I didn't live close by)

Another branch on our limerick tree
You have done it tough a carer you've been
But you have not gone sight unseen
Life of late has been tough for you
but now we doth have back our glue
Come what may no matter the weather
Our manly glue holds us together
For loved ones gone and through your pain
They would want you to live again
You did things that others cant
A blessing you were to your Aunt
You've been a saint , you've seen it through
They would be so proud of you
So with your life and extra time
Please join all of us in rhyme
The new bud has become a leaf
And I have the firm belief
Carlos you will grow some more
Your words and poems i do adore
Your limbs will grow into a tree
You're safe here in our family .
We love you xx
