I'll go....woke up on Sunday with 'hangover' symptoms, slight headache, a bit nauseous. What was missing was the feelings of self-reproach, disappointment and guilt that used to accompany the morning after. I hadn't been drinking, not sure why I felt off colour but I really enjoyed the contrast between then and now, and by the afternoon it was gone.
I'll never go back.

IP, sorry about the "trigger". I'm now over 4 years sober and every once in awhile I get an ever so slight itch to have a beer. Then I remember what a hell my life was while I was drinking and those thoughts go away. I drank like a fish for a lot of years, so I expect those thoughts will pop-in from time to time. As long as I can remember the bad times, I'll never want to go back!

GRace great to see you here. MN! Feeling Great- so glad - the more the merrier. I just got home at 10pm (i love driving at night now!!!) i noticed it is either a full moon or close to it. Very stromy here- but check it out in your neck of the woods- it might be one of the few things we can all see.

Thank you Former Beer Lover, it's good to be here. I found my first post from last August today and posted it on a couple of threads, it was sad for me to read, but it was also a good reminder of how bad my life was.
Hi Instant and thank you. I too was looking at the moon earlier. It's a lovely clear sky here in the U.K and the moon is very nearly full.
I'll leave it at that for now and hopefully will be back tomorrow.

Hey gang I'm from the one year and under club....I would like you all to look after my good friend Grace as she as supported me a lot in my last 8.5 months of being sober...She is a kind,warm hearted person and she fully deserves her year of sobriety...
