DG, of course alcohol is a drug, I wasn't thinking straight, I was just upset at the thought that I may have upset UB3.
Toots, yes you're right of course in what you said.

I just hope UB3 finds the help he needs and deserves and I hope he finds peace.

Good morning to you all, feels like I’ve never been away, lol. In work manning the phones and it’s very quiet yet, thank goodness. I shouldn’t be in today but I’m working time back from when I took my Mum for her MRI scan last week, so I’m only here until 11.15, I’ve had approximately 1.5 hrs sleep so I’m running on auto pilot today, not feeling to bad to be honest, but no doubt it will catch up with me later.
V.C I’m sorry you’ve got troubles too, nothing too serious I hope, the silly thing is that I’m up at 3 and 4 o’clock in the morning, with my mind working overtime and what can I do about anything at that time? Nothing at all. I need to give myself a good talking to.
Anyway, I hope everybody is okay this morning and tickety-boo as Steve would say. Nearly the weekend so let’s all stay safe,clean and sober.

Hello all,
Just writing the under 30s to encourage them!
I am waiting for the realtor to pull up with a buyer so me and the dog can take off for an hour. My home went up for sale 12 days ago.
Newbies, when I started SR and sobriety, my home was indescribabke. Broken cabinets, broken glass, debris outside, a spare room so full of junk that one could not walk thru and couldn't even open the door, dead plants, a yard taken over by neighbors bamboo, months of unopen bills, cable turned off, trash pickup stopped, overrun with mice, dirty dishes, all clothes dirty, and these are only the parts i can bring myself to describe. I refused to let friends, family, neighbors, anyone,, in. Both literally and figuratively.
By contrast, today at midnight I am 500 days sober. My home is pristine and sparse and freshly painted. I allow strangers in to tour when im not home! My mortgage officer has approved me for a condo I want when my home sells. My life is completely changed and keeps evolving since sober. It surprises me at every turn. As long as I dont drink.
Guys you KNOW where drinking takes you. Today, lets find out where sobriety takes us. Let your curiousity about sobriety keep you on track.
Today we do it together. Sober solidarity!!!

Thank you much guys. I don't have anyone else to tell the 500 day mark to who truly understands what that means for me. SR always gets it. Plus I tell SR more of my story.So, Thank you.

Hey where's all the under 30's at????....I know that when I was in this group I had to keep posting every day even when I was struggling or pushed for time....Posting in this group gave me the encouragement to go on and break past that very tough early 30 days....Here I am now 202 days sober and relishing the fact that I'm sober.....If I can do it guys and gals then so can you.....GET POSTING.....Steve.
