I am grateful for receiving birthday greetings from SoberRecovery.
I haven't drunk since I joined and it's always been a day at a time. I don't mean it has been a struggle but I'm very aware from the years of drinking and trying to not drink that I'm only a drink away from the gutter.
My relationships with my children is good. I think I live a positive life now. Slowly, with counseling I think I'm changing. I don't blame the outer anywhere as much as I used to and in turn take more responsibility for my choices than I used to.
I'm trying to be there for others more now.
Joining this forum was a turning point. I am grateful that fellow travellers have the inspiration to create and maintain this resource.
