Everything

Today, albeit still a somewhat painful experience just being sober, I am grateful for life. I am grateful for the ability to look at myself and not dwell on my past yet be able to recognise the paths I have walked that got me here. I am grateful for waking up in the morning and for everything that my days will bring, be they rough or smooth. I am thankful for the journey I am once again embarking on and for the lessons I will learn.

I am grateful for every lesson, no matter how much it can hurt sometimes, I learn from them.
