One Week Today!
Just checking in to share that today I am celebrating one full week of NO alcohol of any kind!
I had no detox symptoms the first few days, thankfully, but now I am waking in the mornings feeling like a truck has hit me - achy all over and feeling drugged. I have also noticed very minor skin eruptions (on my face mainly) and itchy skin on my arms & legs. These are all standard symptoms of the body beginning the clearing process, so I'll just roll with it, as I know, this too shall pass.
My abdomen is already much less bloated feeling and I have lost a pound or two. I hope to start exercising soon.
I really appreciate this community, as I come here for support, even though I am primarily a lurker - this is my first post. Reading everyone's sharings has been a tremendous help to me in wrapping my brain around what needed to happen to get me to be 100% committed to walking away from my dependency on alcohol once and for all.
