depression from withdrawing
It's horrible. I'm trying to sleep the day away but I can't sleep. Next week my bf is going out of town so I will be home alone for the whole week. Ugh. I'm at the worst depression that I've felt..atleast this should pass. I know I'm depressed but not usually this depressed.
I want to scream... In real life..even online it's hard for me to ask for help. In real life it's almost impossible. I start out patient Monday..which is a big step for me.

Star...Depression is extremely common during withdrawal, and can persist for weeks and months after. Actually, for me, it was a year.
This is an issue you should really be talking to a doctor about. Many find antidepressants at this stage beneficial, but the trap is getting off of them can be difficult.
Do you have any support program for getting sober? I do AA.

Depression hit me when I stopped using cocaine and over the last 10 months I have not used it has improved - I no longer have intense bursts of feeling worthless and being a failure.
I attended out an patients programme and am currently seeing a shrink - this has helped me deal with my depression but for me time has been the greatest healer.
Its a long road but defo worth the struggle so dont give up
