is there a correlation between drug abuse and child abuse?
I swear, I know this is why my buddy does drugs. I've heard from other people that he was molested as a child. He hasn't ever admitted what was done to him. Somtimes I'd like to say something to him. Then the cycle was repeated to his children. Would it be appropriate to say something to my friend, I don't kow what though. I feel bad for him. I'd just like to say that I'm sorry for what has happend to his family n there for his support. What do you think? He isn't open about it at all. Its understandable.

I'm pretty sure that would be a horrible and unwelcome conversation. Lots of kids are abused. Some end up addicts, some don't. I personally would not even go there, especially if its just third hand info..that's just weird.

Let him deal with his own issues, when he is ready. If there are children presently being harmed, that is a different story ("then the cycle was repeated to his children") --if there is true evidence of this, then authorities should be contacted.
