Found one - yikes
I had started out my day writing a note as to the fact that today was my 60th day clean and sober. during this time I have seen lots of the stuff in bottles by the 100's and have turned my back and been proud of myself.
I have written on threads where someone struggling to make headway has found a long lost pill and advised without fail to flush it immediately.
Tonight - actually just a few minutes ago I was putting away some drawing paper on top of a cabinet in my workshop. I am tall and the highest place in view would always be my stash spot and this was it.
My wife had been disappointed that when I decided to quit that she did not get to witness my disposal of my stash down the toilet. Most likely because at the time it would have confirmed in some way that I had done it.
As I put away the paper something was in the way and as I reached to clear it out found a heavy duty plastic zip lock with one oxy nestled inside.
I allowed no further thoughts of enshrining it in bronze to occur and took it immediately to where my wife could watch me flush it down the toilet to join all of its little friends.
I then returned to my shop and finished cutting some very fine wood strips on the table saw and felt very good about how safe and clear headed I was.
Hooray for sobriety. To hell with oxycodone.
