Too many painkillers?

Well a few months ago when the pain from my torn quad was really bad I found myself taking 6mg of paracetamol and 1.6 mg of ibuprofen daily for about a month.

I gave paracetamol/codeine a try again at 5/6 mg for 3 weeks but it did little for the pain maybe I got used to it. I had no real problem stopping the codeine felt a little sick for a few days but I was fine.

If I am taking painkillers now I seem to take a double dose without thinking anything of it and I am not sure why?

I'm not sure what your question is Rossy?

I have various medical conditions - I try to rely on non medical things to alleviate my pain...exercise, heat pads, meditation...but there are times when I have to take pain killers - I try to stay below or at the recommended dose.

For me less will always be better - if I found I was taking more than I needed, I'd be worried - even if I wasn't getting 'high'.

I'm 26 and have been using hydrocodone for 8 years straight. I'm 8 days clean and am having issues with my liver. I would slow down on the paracetamol in take before it's too late.
