(((Amy))) Gosh, you really are terrific. I just read your posts and couldn't just sign off without saying you rock! Isn't it so weird how you can actually latch on to people and sometimes specific people over the computer? You may have been through tough times, been to hell and back but you have one big heart and such a sweet soul. Amazing!

(((chicory))) In a post I had mentioned the importance of creativity in my life, and how it had overwhelmingly contributed to my well-being in sobriety. Drawing, painting, writing, photography, and overall experimentation in the arts proved to be an excellent outlet for your constant “ebb and flow” of emotion, life and recovery. I applaud you. I can only imagine how beautiful your kitchen came out. There is nothing like the smell of fresh coat of paint.

Love ya

darling (((tb))), thank you! actually, it looks pretty nice. fresh paint smells and looks good. it opened up the kitchen, which was a lovely dark red/orange, on two walls. now it is a lovely yellow/cream.
i wanted to paint some on my vacation, like oil paints. i have a picture i have been working on for too long. but instead i did major overhaul of my living space. clean closets, unneeded stuff thrown/donated away. but you know, now I have freed myself of that yukky "not doing stuff I need to do" feeling, and when i do get to work on my painting, i will not feel guilty.
what kind of art do you like (((tb)))? do you draw, paint, create? i would love to know

My daughters 19 year old kitty, Sprinkles, went to the Rainbow Bridge this morning. We love her very much. She was the most gentle angel of a kitty. Her little body was shutting down, and d had to make that heartbreaking decision to protect her from any further discomfort. I am thankful that she made it through the night, to be gently and lovingly escorted to her perfect peace. She is forever in our hearts. Our little Sprinkie.

love you guys,
hugs hugs hugs.

Oh my!

Much love to you!

(((chicory))) I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet Sprinkles. And please extend my heartfelt condolences to your daughter and family. Mother Nature has called her home now. Once you take in a kitty they are with you forever even in passing you see Sprinkles enter your heart an soul forever. If you see a kitty from the corner of your eye that will be Sprinkles checking to see that you an your family are safe. You and your family gave Sprinkles 19 years of love, now she's in good company at the Bridge.

Love ya

(((chicory))).

yes, we loved our OG for 19 years, so I know what an investment in the heart that is. We get so much in return, don't we? right now, He of the FuzzyB is curling on the couch with Hubs having their special time.

My cold is still bad, I'm afraid. I have to get it knocked out by this weekend as we are committed. (not the way you think) to several events. I'm combing my closets to find suitable outfits. With elastic waists! LOL I need at least four outfits. Im tired just thinking about this. LOL

Oh and my hair is flat out unsightly. I'm going to see if I can pull off an up-do for the evening. I thnk I have some hair pieces I might still match. I hope I don't end up looking like Divine. LOL nah, I don't have any blue eye shadow at the moment, Hubs will be so very relieved! caftans are making a come back, right?

Oy.

your kitchen sounds lovely. I'd love to see some pics if you have them. did you see the pics I posted for you on the orchids?

Much love to you, darling!

Thank you so much, I will give her your message. You are so right, that they are always with us. I know she is happy now, and in perfect spirit body. As much as we did not want to think of it, we knew she was getting ready for another home, one with Mocha-her sister, and my Tember, her roomie in her early life. They are surely purring and headbonking right now.
I will watch for her.
My goodness, she was with us for so long, it is hard to believe.
none of us get to stay forever. a good reason to live for today, and seize the joy.

group hug

Oh the purring and head bonking! Sibyl Leek used to say souls migrated up, I feel sure our babies were here on a special mission to love us and help us figure things out. When they can stay with us for so long, it's a true blessing.

I just know the impact OG had on our lives. She was the shot caller. LOL She made us behave. I know there's a special place for our babies. Sometimes, I think I can feel them from the other side.

I have a little pin someone gave me of a kitty angel. I wear it sometimes when I need to feel a blessing. Sounds crazy but it helps me.

Much love!

Oh my goodness honey, yes, I saw them! I forgot to mention them, I am so sorry! pathetic manners here in ohio. rubbing off on me..;p
they were incredible. looked just like little monkeys. almost scary. if i came upon one of those in the woods, i would run the other way..ha. thank you for sending that link. you are so sweet.
i am sorry about your cold. did you get antibiotics. and how about your eye meds. did they help? honey, i picture you having such a fashion sense, of your own. ever know anyone like that, who could look cool no matter what? I wish i could wear an updo. they are making a come back, you know. bee hive sort of things. those were cool, back in the day. i have no clothes.. i sometimes buy stuff at thrift, but then donate it back,, argh. i do like penneys, used to love elderbeerman. but they are defunct. i think.
sweet (((fuzzyb))) i hope to see a picture of him sometime, too. i will try to post pics of the wall, tho my decorating style is not very exciting. consists of lots of cat bowls, litter boxes, cat toys, lots of cathairbunnies, etc. oh, and lots of cats. on furniture. or my spot on the bed. love it though.
Whoa, i decided to look up Divine, yikes. are those boobs real? guess he left us in 88. you could never look like that (((Lenina)))not in a thousand years.
you are beautiful.

Sorry I've been a little MIA - fell asleep earlier. (((Chicory))) sorry about ((Sprinkles)) but am confident that she is on rainbow bridge with our other furbabies and having a GREAT time. It's that thought that makes it just a wee bit more tolerable but still we grieve.

I just woke up, it's 11pm and sm is telling dad her nerves are bad. I don't want to deal with it, am going back to sleep. Elvis escaped outside, got him back in and gave Mots and Patches some TLC. I may be a wuss or whatever but I am retreating into sleep. I didn't use, I didn't smoke. That's gotta count for something, right? I admit, "escaping" isn't the most healthy thing but it worked for today.

Hugs and prayers,

Amy
