30 days today!

Today I hit 30 days clean and without any drugs of any kind. 30 days ago I wanted to have 5 days behind me. After that then get me to 10. My next landmark was to hit 21 as responses to my struggle with insomnia had indicated that surely by that time I would be sleeping again.

Well that's come and gone and sleep continues to elude me. I guess what it comes down to is that if I don't need drugs I don't need sleep. The nights get long but it is a tiny price to pay for how I feel. This is wonderful. I must never give this up again.

Now I've hit 30 but I want it to be 100. I want it to be a year. I want it to be 10 years. I want it to say on my epitaph that I never did it again and died a happy man.

To spare someone else I know that it is just "One day at a time."

I am so happy for you. You are right, it does feel wonderful to be clean of the drugs and the oxycodone. We will make it and as you say one day at a time.

Love and Blessings

Good job ex-fiend,
30 days is way better than 30 hours. I'm still under 2 weeks clean and I'm not sleeping much either but all the other positive benefits of this ordeal keep me grateful.

((oxyfiend)) - Congratulations on 30 days!! I think sleep is one of the last things to "normalize" but not sure..crack was my DOC, not opiates. I've just seen a lot of posts about it over the years.

Keep up your awesome attitude and 100 days will be here before you know it

Hugs and prayers,

Amy
