8 Months Clean Today - THANK YOU SR

So today is day 240 since I finally said bye bye to Opiates. It has been an amazing journey and I'm excited to see what the future has in store for me over the next 240 days. For those of you questioning sobriety all I can tell you is that life is so much better on the other side. I'm not going to lie the first 30 days were extremely difficult but for the most part I started to feel a little bit better every day after day 4. A big thanks to FT and Juiceman. These two SR members were an inspiration in my recovery. I would also like to thank my sponsor Dennis. The sun is shining here in New Hampshire and I just took a nice 4 mile run on the beach. Exercising and eating healthy has become my drug of choice and I must admit that I'm addicted For anyone struggling with withdrawals today or if you've reached the point in your addiction where you know you want out please feel free to contact me and I'll do anything and everything in my power to help you. However, only you can truly make the choice to recover and the high of being sober and FREE is simply amazing. Thanks for reading.

Awesome post and CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I have to agree, though my DOC was crack, early recovery is not easy. However, it is TOTALLY worth it

Hugs and prayers,

Hey all. Just wanted to give a quick update. The new job is going well. Crazy busy but it's the best way to be during early recovery. I'm now over 300 days clean from an opiate addiction that took so much from me but I'm so grateful for my sobriety and recovery.

I am glad to read this post, I was going to start a new thread but I think you are the best to ask. I am 100 days clean from opiates tomorrow! However, the first month was not easy, the second was unreal, I felt great, I was working out et..Then this last month I have still felt better than ever my energy level is low and my body is aching..Last week I truly felt those same aches I had when I was first withdrawing. I was so bummed, and wondered what the heck was wrong..I have had that every afternoon now for the past week, doesn't last long, but does bother me! Also, my want for exercise has declined a TON, I have been nothing but hungry lately...ugh..I do not want to use, so that is not the issue, just wondering what the heck is going on... thank you for taking the time to reply. I do not attend NA (live in china, not easy) and the only thing I do for my recovery is SR. so please respond!
