Thanks for the new thread, Dee!
Grateful I can start my day with service work, and finish it with my beautiful wife. Grateful for a swap meet, dinner date, motorcycle ride.

Thanks, Dee, for continuing "my" thread. I still miss Carol, though. Not just to toot my own horn, but I started the original Bedtime Gratitude Prayer thread at least seven years ago, possibly eight. I am immensely grateful for ALL who have contributed to its run. Gratitude is SO important to recovery!
So...I'm grateful tonight that I did not in fact slide over the embankment I was headed for and I got help getting the car turned around on the icy road. I tried getting to my destination from the other side of the ridge, going miles around to get there, but the other side was also ice under snow and steep as well, so I never made it and had to drive over two hours home without ever getting where I wanted to go. But, I did get to see the snow coming down and some nice snow-covered mountain scenery, so it was not all for naught. I suppose I'll have other chances.
And grateful my old grey Lab did not "soil" the back of the car even after almost six hours back there.

Grateful for Dee, Eddie (and all) who make this the great place that it is.
Grateful to be keeping my cool amid having family in my home who aren't the best of help (*opposite of help) at this point in time. I now have experience with having beer (& pot) left in the house and not craving it at all...
I sure will rest easier when 'they' are gone.
Finally got my mother in a nice facility for her physical recovery and can relax enough to do a bit of reading\posting here again.
Best wishes all.

You're most welcome, Scolova, Dee, rd, and IO!! And thanks, RZ!
Grateful for a nice walk to the coffee Airstream around the corner with my pal and for her buying me a cappuccino and an enormous peanut butter cookie. I've been showing her around my "new" neighborhood and we've also explored some territory new to me as well.
Also grateful for going to a restorative yoga class this evening with my favorite instructor, although I hadn't seen her in a while because she's not teaching many classes right now. I've missed her old flow class and her, too.
