(((drumstuff))) - Welcome to SR!! There are a lot of people here who have kicked oxy's, so you're in good company.

Hugs and prayers

Amy

Hello and welcome! Good for you You're definitely in good company; many of us are going through or have been through the same thing (including myself also new to SR). It's Day 5 of being clean after 3yrs abusing opiates and more than one failed attempt under my belt.
Earlier this week I wasn't sure I'd make it this far and honestly, not sure I would have if not for the support, acceptance, understanding and kindness of the SR community. Taking some time off to detox is a good plan. It gets better and easier every day regardless of what path you take to get there just keep going, stay strong and know we're all here if and when you need it. You can do it!

You can do this if you try hard enough. Go through what you have to go through to get to the other side. The best of luck. Love and Respect. Brad

I SOOO remember day 2...ughhh
You didn't say if you'd gotten anything to help with the detox...but if you
can make it out for some comfort food and drink, get yourself some potassium
pills, multi vitamins, any kind of decaf tea (sleepytime is good one), maybe something
for sleep - I think the most common OTC has same stuff as benedryl. It helps a lot
if you can get sleep during the first week.
In looking back on my own journey I really wish I had gotten something for restless legs and sleep.
During the worst moments/hours, keep firmly in the front of your mind that this WILL pass shortly. Reading on here helped me a lot.
