What happens to make the obsession stop?
What is it that makes the obsession go away? What is it that makes us surrender, what vital things occur in us to make these things happen? for me the phenomenon of the obsession is the same as the phenomenon when it leaves? What causes this? is there an explanation?

two things for me - acceptance that I could never drink or drug again if I wanted to change my life...couple with the realisation that reality was actually far less scary than I'd convinced myself it would be
