Yeah. My sister is a pastor. I was raised Catholic. The God thing just doesn't work for me. Neither does group therapy.
Be a rebel and an activist. Make being a non-drinker part of who you are. Eventually, try to help others understand why that can be done. Passive acceptance, powerless, etc. Nope. Not for me.

Seared-There are 3 AVRT threads (part 1-3) on this forum. It may be helpful for you to read through the threads since it helped me get a general understanding of AVRT and there may be answers to some of your questions there. I just discovered this approach a few day ago.
I second FT on all counts except I don't have a sister that's a pastor. lol I preferred to throw out the group therapy and add in personal responsibility...it's been much better for me.
