Meth Kills
Meth Kills
Yesterday was my husbands birthday...he died three years ago from a meth overdose. We had both gotten clean when i became pregnant with our son. when our son was about 5 months old, my husband started using again. He snorted a line of meth and it killed him, he went septic and it took three days for him to die. You would think that would have made me stay clean, but i went on a three year binge on meth (Now have three months clean...finally!). I had no idea meth could kill you like that, or at all. So i guess my message to you is; METH KILLS! it can kill you quickly, or it can kill you slowly.
Oh my, I imagine that this was a very painful thing to share with us. I am so sorry for your loss.
I applaud you for your strength in sharing this message with us. For some of us, we never know when that fatal dose is going to claim us and that is an important fact to remember.
Congratulations on your clean time and I wish you all the best as you and that beautiful son of yours continue along your path of recovery and growth.

I am so very sorry for your loss, SaraMichelle.
My heart goes out to you and your family.
I am so grateful to hear you are clean today. I hope you have found a program of recovery that works for you.
Thank you for getting real with us.
Addiction and recovery are matters of life and death.
This is not a theory, or a philosophy -- it's an absolutely tragic reality.
Bless you in your healing and your recovery.
With much love,
SIU

Welcome Sara!
So sorry for the loss of your husband. You are right, meth does kill. I was addicted to meth for over four years, from 85-91, I have also been addicted to alcohol, opiates and allderal. Meth is a nasty wicked drug. It made me do and say things, I would have never ever said or done.
So glad you are here w/ us!! Keep on posting, you are doing awesome with your 3 months!
