30 days no crack
30 days no crack
Today I have been free of alcohol for 1 year and 3 months and crack for 30 days.
Today I'm gonna live just for today, been having trouble with that concept.
In the front of the AA daily reflections book is a 5th century proverb by an indian poet. I think I have finally memorizedit, here goes.
Look to this day for it is life
The very life of life
In its brief course lie all
The bliss of growth
The splendor of action
The power of glory
For yesterday is but a dream
Tomorrow is a vision.
This day well lived
Makes every yesterday a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope
Look well, therefore, to this day
Now I ahve to go work this day.
Life, Health, Prosperity everybody, thanks for the help

I just copied that proverb down in my Step One workbook quide - thank you for sharing that - I will reread it often as I, too, have an issue with staying in the present.
In the old days (last month) my idea of "Be Here Now" was what I was thinking of when I wanted my connection to show up - I need to redefine that now...

You're strenght is inspiring Neferkamichel...
Hope to step in your foodsteps soon. Thanx for the beautifull poem. Think I'm going to watch a book of Edward Curtis' Indian-pictures to neutralize the craving.
