continuing to read adult children of alcoholics
by janet geringer woititz finding it a useful read. in its introduction it lists 13 traits of ACA's.
trait 12 it lists as ACA's are extremely loyal even in the face of evidence that the loyalty is undeserved.
that resonates with me about my dad. i care about him. honestly though my loyalty to him is not deserved. i was just sitting now imagining going to my local AA f2f and telling them about him. It could be liberating and useful to me
I know there are ACA meetings but my nearest is 40miles away or so. Next nearest is CODA at 25 miles away, then al-anon at 8 miles then AA in my home town.
