Beyond grateful
I am beyond grateful for having 7 days of clarity, for the sunshine that is outside my window today, and especially the chance to hug my children and husband. Grateful that my body feels better after the withdrawal, and thankful that it remembered how to dance with strength and grace during my first gym class in over 8 months. Even grateful for the mounds of housework to do. It means life is going on as normal.
This time last week, I nearly died in the night after inhaling my own vomit in my sleep after my 'regular' bottle of white wine instead of dinner. I had an out of body experience and know without doubt in my mind, I was seconds from death. I woke up just before I fell unconscious from suffocation.
I am on Day 7. Feeling great. But more than that, feeling so unbelievably thankful for the tiny things that I'd not noticed for many months. Also thankful for the existence of SR and the people on here who have been so supportive.
