I have been a member of AA for 12 years. Havnt had a drink during this time. Started on pain tablets at aroubd 1 years sober. I cant remember exactly why. I know they helped with sleep. Only took 2-3 tablets.

11 years later and I am taking 45-70 tablets a day. This is approx 450-600mg of Codine.

I am finding life is becoming very grey. I keep thinking about having a drink. I dont want to take these pills and feel like a week man for doing so.

Cant talk about this at AA. Fasle pride ( what will others think )

I dont really know what to do. I never took pills while drinking.

Has this happened to anyone else?

45-70 tablet A DAY??? No wonder everything is becoming gray. Please, put your pride aside and see your doctor. This is far more important that what someone will think.
