Trazadone anyone?

I have been taking trazadone to sleep and though it is not always effective I believe it is making me drowsy during the day, like really drowsy. Has anyone any experience with this drug?

take it early evening so that it has time to wear off.
also it takes about a month to get used to.

I take it sometimes, but not usually, only if I have time to sleep. Generally on nights where i've got nothing to do and i'm like "**** it" It does make me drowsy during the day too. Its kind of a problem for me on all sleep meds though.

Hi Sleepie,

I took it for awhile and found like Live said it is better to take earlier in the evening so I didn't feel so tired all day. It was effective for me to get to sleep and stay asleep for sure.

I also use a low dose during the day when anxiety symptoms are really bad.

I've been taking it for five years as a sleep aid. I also felt drowsy during the day and cut my dosage in half. That worked beautifully. For me it works best to take it right before going to sleep.

I've been taking it for years (5-10) as well, and I take it at least 90 min before going to bed; sometimes it doesn't do anything and sometimes I'll take an extra 1/2 pill if I've not been sleeping well. I've never had any problems with it.

I use it as a sleeping aid, and take it about an hour before going to bed...sometimes I wake up feeling groggy but it goes away within about 1/2 hr.. I like it..gets me the sleep I need!!

I quit taking it a few days ago. Last night I slept without any sleeping pills or booze for the first time in quite awhile. I have bronchitis at the moment, so I think my body just needs the rest. I am phasing out of 2 meds that I am ready to quit. I can't wait to get my brain back. klonopin makes me forgetful.
