Glad To Be Here.
I posted this in the newcomer section, but wanted to do so here also;
I'm glad I found this site. I've been clean since 9-10-10 from everything, but at the end it was mainly a horrendous 8 year long oxycodone addiction. After 7 days of a home CT detox (wouldn't recommend it - see a Dr.), I attended my first NA meeting. I've been going about 5-6 times a week ever since. I was beyond skeptical at first, but soon realized that I wanted to be like the guys that had many years clean. I'm finally feeling better, at least for a 42 year old guy with a 30 year history with just about everything that's bad for you. I have a great sponsor and am ready to surrender to recovery. It has been very difficult, but already worth the pain to feel this good. Just wanted to say hello.
