I spent most my life using something to deny my feelings...Drinking, smoking pot, sniffing glue, popping pils,sniffing coke etc.....I went through a real rough time when I got clean. For 12 years I struggled with suicidal depression, anxiety, and sleeping problems..I say all that to tell you that Im clean sober and truly grateful for being stable..A sponsor, my therapist, and the 12 Steps are some of the things that have helped me come back from the dead...Clean

My husband and I go to Celebrate Recovery at a local church. The program is AA with a focus on the beatitudes in the Bible. I am learning how not to try to control my husband or base my emotional state each day on how his day is.
