My mom died in a car accident yesterday. She crossed the center line.

Addiction only leads to jails, insanity and death.

You have my prayers.
Almost 30 years ago my mother blacked out (diabetes brought on by alcoholism) while driving and hit a tree. She was on her way to pick up our dog from the vet.
I tried to forget her death immediately - "put it behind you" was my alcoholic father's demand. Ignore any such advice - grief is a process that takes time, it is normal and healing, and it will allow you to hold on to the best parts of your mother forever.
Take care.
