I'm just celebrating my third week and one of my best friends has been nothing short of amazing. He's been in recovery for several years and not only put up with my abuse and stupidity while drinking over the years, he's forgiven me and helped me through this difficult time. My wife has been very supportive, but having someone who's been through it has made all the difference. I don't think I'll ever be able to adequately express my gratitude to him, but I try daily. I only hope everyone on this journey has someone like him to lean on.
