surfing the net for help!
I first found SR last August when I thought I was ready to quit...needless to say that didn't quite happen but I've been sober for 1 month tomorrow and have found myself comming here to read other people's stories and have finally decided to post something. The first couple of weeks have been good, with the exception of weekends. They are killer since i'm home alone with my son and that used to be my "relaxation" time. Somedays it's hard to get motivated to do anything but I'm doing it. I'm sober for today and that's something to be happy about for sure.
That's great gift. 1 month is fantastic. I come here everyday and read other's stories and I find it really helps to do so. Nice to know you are not alone. Keep posting here and hanging in and it will all come together.

Wecome eachday. I found SR by googling. I put in non religious alcohol recovery and it was the first or second listing.
You should join us in the Class of January support thread eachday. A lot of us that started in January post there daily to keep us focused but mostly just to chew the fat.

Thanks guys! I feel like I don't know anyone (other than my DH) who is sober! It's nice to know there are people out there who are trying to do the same things. I'd love to join the January thread, but I can't find it...
...i'm gonna need some help this weekend!
