Where I was/am
Where I was/am
I was 5 days into my sobriety when I found this site. I had made up my mind that I was done drinking not only for my health but for my marriage and for my son, I don't want to leave my son without a father! Spiritually I am neither better nor worse, now that I am coming out of my "haze" I am still angry with the man upstairs but instead of drinkning to dull the confusion I am going to go to him this time. Could have saved myself alot of money if I had done that before......plus my liver would probably thank me as well.
I carry my white token with me every where I go and even though it is just a poker chip it means alot more to me than that! I look forward to getting the rest of them as well.

Old AA joke...
When you want to drink
put your chip in your mouth
When it dissolves...you may have a drink.
