zoloft and wellbutrin

Hi everyone......I am reposting this in mental health instead of just the anxiety section.
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has been taking zoloft and welbutrin together?
My bf has been on zoloft for some time, and has reached a plateau. His psych has suggested adding welbutrin with the zoloft. We are eager to see if it will change for the positive....
Any side effects?
Thanks for your help.

Nope

I only take 200 mg. of Zoloft a day and that seems to help with my OCD and somewhat with my depression. I tried Wellbutrin once and could not sleep at night, so I stopped, plus the dry mouth was unbearable. Thanks for posting. Mike

Thanks for the post....well he is taking both. I do appreciate your response...
He has been on the zoloft a while, and they just added 75mg of the wellbutrin.
Have a great day

Wellbutrin feels a lot different than other anti-depressants because it's not an SSRI. Basically, I felt kind of speedy on it and preferred Lexapro.

Thanks for your input. It has only been a week and a half, but he felt really tired the first couple of days, and now today, says he has a migraine. He does not get headaches normally. So, who knows? Hopefully something will show soon. Keep the positive thoughts coming for him please!

Headache is likely from norephedrine from the Wellbutrin. It usually gets better in time.

Thanks for the help. He is trying to ride it out for the two week intro, and is calling the dr. tomorrow.
