Electroshock was FINE !!!
Just got home & everything is fine !! The worst of it was not having my coffee before I went..I remember everything - NO PROBLEMS..Just a more sore jaw than usual (grind my teeth) and a little headache developing.
I remember the cold in my arm as they put me to sleep and woke up feeling great and snuggly in the recovery room..dying for coffee water and a cigarette...Must be fine if I want a cigarette...
I told the nurse my memory was fine so she asked me what year is was..
I said well 1965 of course....Her eyes bulged....
Haven't lost my sense of humour either...I had nothing to be afraid of...everyone else that had it done came out looking better too..
Maybe this would be a good new addiction....
Well maybe I am a bit loopy, but it is sure better than depression..It is probably more relief than anything...I have to admit I was nervous..The tears when I lay down to get the treatment done might have been a clue...I'm fine - I'ts OK, I'm fine...Ususal denial stuff...
The only thing I've noticed is that on some words my spelling draws a bit of a blank - but spellcheck will fix that - but here you'll have to bear with me since I can't figure out how to use it .....

Just a quick update - Slept like a baby !! Feel much better
But my whole body is stiff this morning (even my tongue) - like I did a huge workout at the gym....maybe I'll get the benefits of one...ha ha

I'm glad everything went well and you are feeling good. Now that your first treatment is behind you, the fear and the mystery can be taken out of the equation. Good luck with your treatment. I have read amazing stories where this treatment has been the only thing that has helped certain people. My best to you...

Hate Asking for Help ! Too Independant !!
Thanks Anna !! I went to my regular Shrink appt on Fri - He got the report on my treatment and said they did give me the more powerful bi-lateral treatment since the uni-lateral didn't work well..In a way that is good news since I didn't have any side effects.except being tired & napping alot..
I am however having a difficult time asking for help..I need to get rides at 6:15 am to the hosp and home at 9:30am and am not allowed to drive until 8am the next day....I have been isolating for so long taking care of XBF that I don't have anyone really to ask - especially since I am not going to deal with "Mommy Dearest" anymore.. I live a ways out from most of my friends and a lot of them work ! This is stressing me out..I am praying and praying for an idea...But of course every time I get one - my mind tells me - Oh they can't/won't do it...Dang - this is a practicum for me - Guess I have to pick up that 1000 lb. phone today...Yuck - big yucky ball in my stomach. I guess I could take the bus there & leave real early...& maybe someone could just drive me home...babble babble babble
