Any wargamers here?

Combat Mission has become my new addiction.

Anyone play? If so, up for a PBEM?

I've played MMORPGs for years now, and its a little vice of mine I guess, but a healthy one. Currently playing Warhammer Online, few hours a week and then on the weekends 2 hours a night or so. Waiting for Star Trek Online...

Oh man, I'd be toast if I picked up an MMORPG!

I haven't caved on Everquest or WoW, even after years of friends trying to get me to play.

Yeah they can be pretty addictive. I've gone through that phase where I was playing those games way too much, but now I find those games pretty easy to control.

Wargames can be as equally bad. I used to play the Age of Empire games religiously. Still love that series.

Risk

My favourite computer wargame is Risk, created after the Risk boardgame created many years ago - you try for world domination.

I LOVE Combat Mission!!! I have every game in the series, which one do you play? I think CMBB was my favorite.

I'm also a big fan of wargames in general.

If you still want to play PBEM I would be all over it in a second.

Call me old-fashioned, but I play a table-top wargame - Warhammer 40,000. Buy the kits, put 'em together, paint 'em and then There Is Only War!

I'm into the geeky ones like Civilization 4 and Europa Universalis. I used to like the tabletop wargames before computer gaming came along.

That's what I'm screamin'! lol. Modern Warfare 2 is my other addiction. I've gotten a lot better at controlling it, but yeah I never like first person shooters until the MW series came about. I absolutely cannot stand Black Ops though. I tried and tried to get a feel for it, but it just plays out so cheap feeling, so I've stuck with the MW2 for now.

I love to act as Kamikaze..(somewhat) and parachute out of my plane before it crashes into my victims and then take down any remaining soldiers nearby if I survive lol

I am a RTS fan, right now I am going strong on Starcraft2 and Sins of a Solar Empire, and I love the Total War games. I play Starcraft online sometimes but not all that often.

And I ditto what alot of people are saying about MMORPG's I have avoided them like the plague because I know if I started it would consume my life!

I recommend getting the Dosbox emulator (it's a free download) and playing all the free shareware and abandonware games out there. My favorites are Warlords 2 deluxe and Sword of Aragon.

Someone got me HOOKED on Gear of War 2, but now they changed the game play with 3 and went back and changed it for 2 also. It;s horrible.

But I was seriously stuck on that game, not a waking minute. I got three gamertags and got the 100 score on all of them. I actually made it pretty high in the leader board too.

Not bad for an old fart. I was showing those 12 year olds a thing or two. lol

Gave it up when 3 came out though, hate the new multi player online game play.
