I am taking my meds but today I am a nervous wreak. Not actually in panic mode but feeling all of the physical symptoms... dizzy, breathing, all the things ya'll already know all too well. I dont know what has me out of wack today. I am in week two of being on Zoloft. Writing this is making me feel better. My chest has loosened up. I hope, after a few weeks of being on Zoloft, all the attacks are gone. My hubby smokes 'dro and I wonder if I get contact highs. Weed always freaked me out unless I was on some kind of downer. Otherwise, quaranteed attack. Ok, Im rambling... just needed to reach out! Love you SR! You all I got and thats plenty enough!. Shew... was loosing it there for a bit hehe. |

Hi Beachbabe, I'm also on my second week of Zoloft. It worked right away for me but the doc thought it would take six weeks to really kick in. The third day I did have some eye twitching which is an indicator that I'm stressed but none after that. I feel really calm. What a relief! I even had 18 relatives over on Sunday and didn't freak at all. What really made a difference for me was just concentrating on me for a bit. Just calling the doctor and saying that I needed help took some stress out of my life. (Crying helped too) I had tried everything but physically I was a mess. My heart was beating so loudly in my chest and I could hear it in my ears. This had been building up for months. My blood pressure was borderline high but went back to normal afterwards. I am taking care of my 89 year old Mom and what they say about the stress of caregiving is very true. I need to take some breaks and breathe. Keep posting if that helps. You are not alone. Take care.

This is too strange...I just signed up and happened on your post. I am stressing major b/c I am 4 days w/o my Zoloft which I will be picking up tonite. But it is suprising how quickly I feel back to day one. So it just goes to show that it really is working. Hang in there. It takes some time for you to adjust, but it's worth the calm once you get there.
