| Your prayers Needed
I just heard that , Helen and new employees 19 year old daughter was killed in a car crash. It happened in Tenn., she was a freshman in college. Helen was only here a few months but, made a good impression on everyone. Thankfully, the hospital is going to let us donate earned time to her. She has little being a new employee. I just don't know what to think about it. My granddaughter is 18. I'm sorry but, at times like this, I question God's decisions. How can I recieve so many chances and she maybe none. I'll work through it but, please say a prayer for Helen and her family. Don W

I will pray for Helen and her family. My old youth pastors 22 year old son was killed in an ATV accident this weekend. He was on leave from, most recently, Iraq. Please keep parents, Randy and Alice in your prayers One of best friends father-in-law was killed in a horrible car accident also this weekend. The mother-in-law is in very serious condition in a hospital that is out of town. They hope she will be stable enough to move her back here asap. Please keep Les and Peggy in your prayers.

That is so tragic Don. It breaks my heart. I will pray for Helen and her family. It's hard to understand why things like that happen. I still have not come to terms with death and still and always will hate it. It is so very hard on those left behind. I am so sorry that this happened. Donating time is so wonderful of all of you. Thanks, Wraybear and all. I'm trying to understand that this is also a lesson for me. I need to be reminded that life without alcohol and recoverying from PTSD, isn't always going to be a bed of roses. Life isn't going to be fair just because we have problems. I'm simply thanking God, for being here to help Helen and others. What more could I ask? I really feel God has a plan. When it's time he puts us in the right place. I don't know about you but, the balance of life and death has always amazed me. For example, you'll read about someone getting stabbed or shot and dying. Yet, you read how someone was stabbed 15 times left for dead and survived. Like, your friends Son Wraybear. He is in a place that thousands of people are attempting to kill him and survives. Then gets killed by accedent. About 15 years ago a man got killed on a highway near me. It convinced me that God has a time for us all. He was hitching a ride on the highway. A camper being pulled by a truck came loose and ran him over, killing him. I just can't believe that being in that very spot of a highway about 200 miles long wasn't God's will. This is what makes me stop questioning God's decisions. There is a reason for things he decides. I might not ever know the reason, or sometimes down the road I find out. Any thoughts on this?. You are all in my prayers and I thank you, for Helen. I'll tell her when she returns. Well, I've got to go. Children's Hospital, here in Boston is having a Telethon to help pay for care of children and research. I'm helping out. I've been hearing so many wonderful stories of survival. A little while ago, I got to talk to an 8 year old girl the wasn't suppose to make 1 years old. She had cancer and recieved a Bone Marrow Transplant. While waiting she needed many Platlet Transfusion. While talking I found out we have the same blood type. I've been donating platlets for years. We both decided that my platlets are running around in her veins. Although, were not sure, because we both like oatmeal cookies, it's got to be the platlets. Maybe, with Christmas here and all, I could share some of the stories of survival against all odds. And, the strenghth of the families that battle together for hope. Let me know. Don W

I would love to hear those stories Don. I have 3 just in my family alone. My brother, my daughter and my granddaughter all survived when the odds were very much against it. The hospital is so fortunate to have you working for them. You have such a big heart and I would imagine there are many people who have been touched by your kindness. |

Just a quick update. Helen, brought her daughter home. They had a nice service. The response to donating earned vacation time has been overwhelming. Thanks for your prayers. Don W
