I hope that santa brought you things that are really cool, and that you wanted to have!!
I wanted to tell you, sweetheart, that I have a little grand daughter, she is 7 years old and her name is Brittany. But like you and your grandma having some troubles, so are me and my grand daughter. The troubles are adult ones, kind of like yours, but a little different. But we are hurting kind of the same, because none of this is our fault, and we cannot fix it.
You are so lucky to have such a great mommy!! I know that she can show you how to put a band-aid on your heart so that it can begin to heal. I am sorry that your heart is hurting.
I was thinking that, well, since you are a grand daughter, and I am a grandma, and we have these troubles that are not our fault, that maybe you would want to be my internet grand daughter, and that you may want to have me as an internet grandma?
I would love for you to write to me, and send me little pictures! Do you like to draw? I do! I would really enjoy learning more about you, but I already know that you are a wonderful little girl!

Thank you for helping my bRookie, she will be sending pics soon, she loves to color and drwa too. I'll have her write the letter, she has beautiful handwriting, her teacher was amazed last year for 2nd grade how well she can write.....This is awesome, I think it will help both of you so much!!!!!!!! I am so happy to be a part of your family in this way 2stop, thank you for inviting me! I have never had an internet family before, but think that I will like it!
We has a homemade christmas this year, I drew everyone a picture and man framed them. My daughter, Jenna's tooth cracked and she is at the emergency room. She called me a while ago and was sobbing and crying! Even though she is 20, she stills calls her mommy! I told her that I am mentally rocking and holding her, hoping to soothe her pain. Her boyfriend took her and she is suppose to call me when she gets home. I am going to collect my son soon and go to see my mom and mybe my uncle for a bit.
Well, the love part seems to be comming along fine right now, I do love you and your family in my heart of hearts, as we have traveled and struggled along this road in life together for some time now.

Awwww, Sky, give Jenna a big hug when she gets home k? Bless her heart!!! That has to hurt soo bad,,,man. Yes, this internet family stuff is awesome! My hubby still teases me how a year or two ago I told him I won't be needing the internet...I have books and libraries and a good typewriter...now I am hooked big time...lol...thanks for being such a bright and encouraging light in recovery, and in my daughters life...you are very special lady...and you are sooo loved......***hugs***


I am having a really good day, got Brooklyn a doll that sings songs to a little monkey it came with, sings that monkey jumping on the bed song, has a book with it, and brush, bought her a watch and earring and necklace set, a set of ring and earrings, a Caillou 10" doll, clothes, a manicure set, picture frame all fuzzzy pink with nail polish and bag...bopping head pic frames...have their pics in it...my son was upset......ina a good way...but didn't really like it..Brookie loved her, hers is the aloha one!
Anthony got some things he wanted games, bionicle legos, pillow back rest, and some other stufff, lots of candy of course! got hubby small small bottle of drakkar and slippers, last year we didn't have much at all, each other though!! This year we were truly blessed...I lovve what you all did with pictures and framing them!!! That is so awesome to me....!!! God bless you all, I just know 2004 will be better...I can feel it Sky....still praying! and looking up and wishing and praying on the stars.....

Oh sounds like you had a great day! That is wonderful..you deserve it so much!! Brooklyn sounds like a typical girl!! liking all the girl stuff!! It seems like I always had no trouble buying for my girls...but had trouble buying for my son?? like hot wheels and stuff..but what else?? It seems as though there are just so many different things to buy for girls..and not enough choices for boys?
I wanted to ask you how old your kids are?? I have a few little things here..they are new..would like to give them to brooklyn? Jewelry and such. I cannot be the kind of grandma that would send one child something and not the other one. I do not want to leave your son out..to me it is too unfair to do. Nothing fancy..just some things I have had packed around here. I had to do some re-arranging in order to put the x-mas things away and I found them tonight.

I said yes, I said you want to adopt Sky too? He says YEAH!!!! grinned and walked away to difg into his stocking and sort his stiff out, i THOUGHT IT WAS SO SWEET. HE THINKS YOU'RE GREAT TOO!! Hears me talking bout my sis, he does!!!

Aww!! tell Brooklyn hi and Huggs right back to her!! What a warm picture in my mind of the two of you cozy and warm sitting together!! Also, tell her that I sent a little suprise in the mail to her and her brother yesterday Nothing special, just small. I mailed 2 packets sis, but i did not have your last name so i sent them to your address with their first names on them?? I think they should get there Ok. I am glad that I finally got them out to the kids. I did not have time to write a little note as I wanted, but will do that at a later time.

Sky you are an angel...you truly are. Earlier Brooklyn started sobbing and I asked her what was wrong. She said Mommy? I know why grammee won't talk to me on the phone, she's gone! I said what do you mean Gone? She said I think my grammee is dead...Oh my heart broke for her....To see her hurt like that....we cheered her up by playing some family games, hangman, and win lose or draw....evenn hubby played! I told her to let the tears flow, talk it out, and then we went and played something cheerful. I want to teach her to be strong and happy and content, and I never want her to hurt like this. I am just trying to help her learn how to feel it, and then let go, but she's only 9, and seeing her pain, I feel so helpless to not be able to protect her from the cruelties of the world. the best I can do is to teach her coping tools, and God knows I have let her down enough, and she has to worry aabout her mama, always sick, always fighting this damned addiction...but I swear I WILL beat it, I may have fallen a thousand times, but I have stood back up a thousand and one, I only pray it is enough to show her that battles and pain and all this emotional stuff can be coped with, that we can be happy, no matter the pain and heartache in our life. I am even more commited now to my recovery and sobriety, I fell of the wagon, yes, but I am getting back up, and am ready to fight.

I mean it when I say to you Sky.....YOU make me want to be a better person....God bless you, my sis.


The kids will be so delighted to get that package! You are an angel, and I love you and admire you so so much.

You are so lucky to have so much understanding early in the lives of your children. And, children learn what they live, and you are showing them daily how to handle problems. They are young, but they know alot more than what some people think. Some parents do not understand this, and I am so proud of you that you do.
It is so hard to say I am sorry, or get back up twice as determined not to fall again. These are excellent coping skills packed with strength.
Remember my sis, you cannot change the situation with your mother, lest you expect too much of yourself. You are doing wonderful in helping your daughter. I am so sorry that she has to have such a painful experience in her life. I think that pain inflicted by family members is the hardest kind. Please be sure to tell her always that she is a very special, wonderful little girl, and that she has done nothing wrong. That sometimes adults have adult problems that only they can fix. I think that some of her pain may be from feeling rejection, and that can make a child want to try harder, thinking they can change things or do something better to be loved. She should understand that nothing she does will matter, as it is nothing to do with wonderful her, it is her g-mas problem, and if she did not have this problem, she could see her beautiful grandchildren.
2stop, I honestly do not know how much of a better person you could be, I think you are great. You are struggling, but that is the point..you ARE struggling, you care and are committed to a better life. And in my eyes, that is all that we can do in this life.

Winkin' Blinkin and Nod

Winkin' Blinkin' and Nod, one night Sailed off in a wooden shoe;
Sailed on a river of crystal light into a sea of dew.
"Where are you going and what do you wish?" the old moon asked the three.
"We've come to fish for the herring fish that live in this beautiful sea;
Nets of silver and gold have we" said Winkin' Blinkin' and Nod.

The old moon laughed and he sang a song as they rocked in the wooden shoe.
And the wind that sped them all night long ruffled the waves of dew.
Now the little stars are the herring fish that live in that beautiful sea;
"Cast your nets wherever you wish never afeared are we!"
So cried the stars to the fishermen three - Winkin' Blinkin' and Nod.

So all night long their nets they threw to the stars in the twinkling foam.
Then downward came the wooden shoe bringing the fishermen home.

Now Winkin' and Blinkin' are two little eyes and Nod is a little head.

And you shall see those beautiful things as you sail on the misty sea
