doctors appointment

I went to my primary doctors appointment today. I explained to him how I thought the lexapro wasn't working. I also told him how my therapist wants me to go see a psychiatrist he said to keep taking the lexapro and after I see my psychiatrist that well see how the lexapro is doing then. Because I've only been on the lexapro for a month and he said it should take up to 6 weeks.....

So I guess everything was good news...

Amanda, just remember 6 weeks is a ballpark figure. It may be five, it may be seven or eight. It will kick in though.

Hey again Amanda!

Lexapro is great stuff! I'm on Celexa and Lexapro is closely related to it, except Lexapro is improvement (came out later)!

Ccgirl is right hon, actually you should it give a nice, full eight weeks before giving up on this kind of stuff because when it works, it really works and can turn your life around - or at least allow you to do so.

Keep posting and keep us (me!) informed on your progress with this medicine, ok??

I will indeed keep you posting I have my first psychiatrist appointment this Friday so wish me good luck. I hope only good things come out of this. I'm nervous.
