sometimes, certain medication can cause increased anxiety. You might want to call your doctor.

Here is the warning listed

Tell the doctor immediately if you notice worsening depression/other psychiatric conditions, unusual behavior changes (including possible suicidal thoughts/attempts), or other mental/mood changes (including new/worsening anxiety, panic attacks, trouble sleeping, irritability, hostile/angry feelings, impulsive actions, severe restlessness, very rapid speech). Be especially watchful for these symptoms when a new antidepressant is started or when the dose is changed.

My husband started Prozac a few months ago. As they upped the dosage to the maximum for him, they hit a milligram where his anxiety was through the roof. They had him stick it out, gave him about 2 weeks worth of Ativan, and eventually his system adjusted and he's fine. Some SSRIs do cause anxiety, at least temporarily. Definitely call your doctor. He's the one who is qualified to tell you best.

Cymbalta did the same thing to me..........I thought I was doing meth!

They changed me to Zoloft starting at 25mg and increasing at 25 mg doses...even 75mg of zoloft speeds me up so I stay at 50mg.......some of us are just more sensitive and have to start and be at lower doses.....
...........DEFINITELY call your DOCTOR okay?

Good luck to you..............I feel for you.I soo hate it when the meds don't seem to work right......don't give up though a right med and dose can be found forit can take time........

Warmest Hugs................

Thanks everybody.

Incredible all of the support we get through this website.

I feel much better today. One day, and a big difference.

I got by without calling my doctor. She's nice but just too detached from the situation. Most drs. are...hard to find a real caring psychiatrist..

anyway, I went to an anger release meeting for ACOA and just hit the pillows so hard it felt great.

I hope I end up lucky....on the right dosage and the right medicine in THIS lifetime ( lol)

hope i don't give up too..

thanks tammy especially for the hugs...return hugs :-)

more will be revealed...
