Watching the news

Does anyone else have trouble watching the news sometimes or can never watch the news because of all the horrible and negative media crap they feed you? It always been to be feeding the fear and hardly positive or uplifting information and it only feeds my anxiety sometimes.

I posted about horror movies already also, but if anyone experiences that too, please respond!!

Just curious... any response is welcome.

Thanks.

Dear Lord, I HATE THE NEWS. I used to be a news junkie, never able to go an hour without checking in on CNN. or FoxNews.
I have heard one too many stories of how a parent murders their baby. This kind of news is something I just can't take. It makes me cry, it really does. It got to where hearing this kind of news put me in a deep depression all day. So, I have made up my mind not to seek out news. It's never good anyway.
I only care to know if we are being bombed.
My mother says she won't watch the news either for the same reasons. She says it's too depressing, and she is a recovering alchoholic. She says she'd rather look at a lovely magazine with beautiful pictures.
I now recognize my limits with the news. And, it's very limited.

Thanks. Good to know I'm not the only one who dislikes the news... or even finds it triggering...
