First sober thought of the day.

Looks like a beautiful day to enjoy a sober bicycle ride around Mission Bay, have lunch at the beach and then ride down the boardwalk. Blessed to be retired, sober and healthy.

A nice sober day wished for all,
M-Bob

Thank you Dave,
You also have a great sober day.
I'm off to the beach now.
It's hard for me to get away from this site at times.
Possibly a good addiction ???????

My first sober thought of the day is usually, "It feels fantastic to wake up feeling like me and not someone else."

This morning I woke up to my text chiming with another message from my boyfriend, who flipped out with excitement last night when I asked if he want to do a volunteer thing with me, with an org close to my heart. He was thrilled and we talked about how we want to live lives of service. It was really cool.

Then I thought about how good my bed felt for a few more minutes (having a calm, headache free brain always feels good)!!

That right there is what I would call
enjoying the very best of ones sobriety.

Sunday first sober thought.

Think we'll go to church this morning.
Keep the moral compass heading in the right direction.

First thing after coming in from outside and checking out the stars.
Visit Soberrecovery.com
Going for a early hike this morning with my best friend.
He and I used to own a bicycle shop together near State College back in the seventies.
Amazing that I lived through those days because the hippie movement was in full force.
A nice sober day wished for all,
M-Bob

Booze has nothing more to offer me

Our first sober thoughts of the day

After a cup of early morning coffee and mixing in the thought of adding booze to my body and mind actually makes my stomach fell woozy and upset. A sickening feeling. Booze has nothing more to offer me -- I'm very grateful that I realize that today.

Well I still haven't slept but I am going to go with the new day anyway, I was making breakfast for bf and getting his lunch together, I guess my thoughts were along the lines of proper nutrition.

First thought when alarm went off - "Oh man I'm tired.....yawn.....yawn....At least I'm not hung over".

Amazing thing was after a cup of coffee I felt great because I had a good night's sleep. If I was hung-over the coffee would have had little effect.

Basically nutrition again as I separated egg whites for bf's breakfast. Though again I have been up since yesterday but I am still saying morning is the start of the day.

That the good morning text is always from my sober boyfriend. Whom I dated in high school. And can't believe God has brought back into my life.

Then, I wonder what Richard Rohr's devotional is going to be about. The Friar always challenges, inspires and teaches me.

Oh, and I have to take the dog out but at least I am not hungover!

I'll be going to the season opener for football at the University tonight sober and happy about it. I will actually be in tune with the game.

First sober thought of the day.
Looking forward to an easy kick back sober day.
My bike riding partner is down for a while.
Don't feel like riding by myself.

What grace I received from my Godfather last night- a celebration like the prodigal son's return feast with my family.

And 730 mtg for my 9mo chip!
