not always concious i'm afraid.

Last night I was driving home in traffic and feeling myself getting irritated. this is when I have to stop and be grateful for my sobriety. I thought about how I would be picking up a few people for my meeting in only a short time and that changed my mood. it is always a honor to be of service to AA.

then I went farther. what would these young people think of me if they saw me all upset in my car, wanting to punch the guy behind me for getting on my tail, or the Lady next to me who was supposenly looking at me because I'm so bad and have things to hide, I don't want her seeing me. I thought about that for a few minutes.

remembering what it means to be a example of AA I decided I better really think about what was bugging me and I realize I was nervous they were going to ask me to speak last night at my meeting.

I asked my higher power for help, whatever will be will be.

wasn't til I got home last night I realized I had forgotten all about the fear of speaking. it just was some how taken away. it was a really good night.

hope all are good and also sober in this 24 hrs

That's brilliant that you slowed down and that the meeting went well :-)

Hi and thank you for showing gratitude works.
As is said it/we get and better.
Just think there will probably be a day when your speaking you’ll notice it as a non anxiety moment because of working the program. Another thing to be grateful for I found because some of my self centered fear was reduced.

BE WELL
