Morning of the wedding and I'm actually rather excited by the sober day ahead. I can enjoy the food without having to swig down as much free wine as possible, I can remember the day and most of all I'll stay sober and can hit the gym tomorrow morning ha ha. Check in later today.
Well excuse my language but drunk people are f#####g irritating. Still at the wedding, leaving in twenty minutes. Had enough ha ha. Enjoyed myself though, just thanking God I stayed sober and will be in the gym early tomorrow morning
It has been a long day, I've had two sugar free red bulls and water the rest of the time. Strangely enjoyed it more than I do drunk weddings, to a point, now people are getting too annoying for my short temper ha ha. Anyway, off to drive home, check in tomorrow.
Good morning everyone. Up nice and early for the gym today. The last wedding I went too I woke up in a pool of sick and couldn't move for days. I choose my recent choice for obvious reasons.
It's a massive thing for me to have done that wedding sober yesterday and I couldn't have done it without all of your support so thank you from the bottom of my heart.

04:12am in the morning and I'm sitting with a cup of tea waiting for the biggest fight of my life Mayweather v Pacquio. It'll be the first boxing in years I've watched sober, sobriety is a thing of firsts. I'll actually remember it, hopefully Pacquio victorious :-)
Well what a ****** fight that was, waste of my twenty pounds and valuable sleep ha ha. Nice to wake up sober though, hit the gym whilst most of my mates are wrapped up in hungover messes for the rest of the day.
If the wedding has shown me anything it's how different a drinker I am to other people. Some would take 30 minutes to finish a pint and sit for an hour with an empty glass. I, on the other hand, would have been back and fore to the bar five times and demolished five times the alcohol. It really was an eye opener and gave me a insight into how different I am to other people once that switch has been flicked.
Was a valuable lesson and one I thank God for showing me.

Glad the wedding went well for you , and too bad on the fight.
We went to a Kentucky Derby party yesterday , my second sober in row . I had a similar thought , you tend to notice the difference in drinking 'styles' when looking in from the other side.
The mint juleps were just a thing to try for most, for me they would have been the entree. On leaving one of the guests was happy that his wife was the DD and that he couldn't wait to go at the bar 'for real',it's so nice to not miss that attitude.
Weddings are way easier to navigate then stag events. Just a friendly reminder to consider the difference, not one thing says you can't enjoy the same outcome, just be very mindful of the difference in settings. Good on ya.

Hope everyone is having a great bank holiday weekend, been sober but it's still flown by, back to work tomorrow, argh!
Going out for some food this afternoon with the girlfriend, looking forward to a nice refreshing diet coke. Positivity through the roof at the moment but as I've said before, that's when I need to be my most vigilant.

Coming up to day 18 and feeling strong. Massive plus point for me was my girlfriend saying she was proud of me not drinking at the wedding. She doesn't fully get my drinking issue and I can't blame her but she's trying to understand and her support is essential.
