Dairy of a Sad Cow Part 1: Sour Milk

Le Moo is taking some time off between threads, hopefully doing the good things for her Moo-ness that we all wish for her. I recently reduced my stresses by orders of magnitude and hey, it's Christmas!

What can we do, while the heifer's gone, to maybe get a grin or chuckle when she returns?

Great idea, trachs. Cow . . . . I always miss her when she's gone.

So what shall we do? Have to think about this.

Poetry is at best a balm, not a chuckle generator

Standing there in a puddle of mud:
a cow, black and white, but mostly
brown.

It seems to smile with those big black eyes,
lashes blinking at mosquitos,
tail lashing at flies,
covered in mud
simple pleasure.

Mud,
alfalfa,
field of grass.

She chews her cud and blinks her eyes,
staring through me like I’m not here.

You’re a shy one,
aren’t you? Brown
with mud.
You’re afraid.

You’re the one who licked my hand
like a puppy when we were younger.
(You don’t remember, do you?)

But I brought you a salt block,
just like last time. You don’t have to remember.

Mud,
alfalfa,
field of grass,
covered in mud
simple pleasure.

Does anyone know how to view Cow's Facebook show without using Fb? I don't want to stick my toe into that pool!

Oh my! This is hilarious!

I'm overly tired and have nothing to contribute but my giggles.

Ok. Here's a little Ogden Nash

I've never seen a purple cow
I never hope to see one.
But I can tell you this my friend,
I'd rather see than be one!

I love a purple cow. Vanilla ice cream with grape nehi. Yummy. I guess welch grape fizzy would work

Love from the Cowgirl LeeLee
