Seeing as this thread seems perennially popular, I'm opening a part two.
I think it's fair that all those who voted before not vote again.

I would say...let anyone who will, come and vote. Then, compare the results with the data from the original poll. It may be interesting and could well reveal a pattern or potential shift in active users of this forum. Then again, it could be a carbon copy of the first poll.
I feel by limiting the polling to only newcomers, the results would be "tainted" or skewed to reflect the newbies only and not a true picture of the whole of active user and participants of the forum...AT THIS TIME.
I feel also this information would be valuable to the forum Administration and management as a whole and true indicator of forum usage. Any decisions to be made about forum direction and presentation could greatly benefit from the poll data collected and diseminated and by comparison to the last poll.
I say, "Come one...come all and cast your vote".
For what it's worth,
Dave

anyone considered this: many members will be older than they were - how will this affect the statistics? not only that, but most will actually be younger now than they are going to be in the future. so, as they say, yet again, "there are lies, damned lies, and statistics". i rest my case.
