Game of Thrones
First Saturday night sober in more then 10 years!! Wow! What a feeling to get up without feeling slow and hangover with that little headache that I used to take my 2 tylenols every morning...
And the second super cool thing is that I remember EVERYTHING from the episode of Game Of Thrones that I watched last night!! God this TV show is good and soooooooooo much better sober!
Day 2 today... I usually get drunk with a couple of beers starting at 10am after my grocery for the week... I even chug down a beer in my car on my way home (I know, alcoholism made me do stupid things) to get that little happy buzz by the time a get home... Now it's all over and feeling awesome and strong!! I did enough stupid stuff for 2 full lives!!
Can't wait to see how I will be tomorrow at my job... Sober! Wow! It will be fantastic!
Can't wait to watch another episode tonight, now that I can follow the storie! LOL!!
I can and WILL do this!

Good for you Alex.
The longer we stay away from the first drink the more we see what we’ve missed while drinking not to mention our losses.
The beginning is usually a challenge for a short period then we start to work and change to stay sober and enjoy our lives. It’s an interesting and exciting new way of life for many.
BE WELL

I have so much time to get things done now that I don't drink. I had to re-watch some episodes where I was drinking. I hate what alcohol does to my brain - can't remember **** and feel crappy for so long afterwards. Living a sober life definitely seems like a fuller and more rewarding life. I read an interesting book yesterday (yes I can read books now I'm not drinking :P) talked about how when we drink we cut off ALL emotions - good and bad. Nice to enjoy some of the good ones now. Congrats on staying sober.
Don't take drinking advice from Tyrion that's for sure.
Watch out for the bumps in the mental road for the first few months. The mental cravings will be your biggest hurdle. don't get complacent and most of all, don't give in. It's not the first few weeks that will get you, it the first few months. Just keep that in mind when your conscience starts telling you it's ok to have a few. Hang in there at those moments.
Great job on a good start, keep it up.

This wonderful feeling has just spreads into all areas of my life, what a joy life is BEING here.. Bobbi
