10 months sober....
10 months sober. Wow. This is the longest I've gone without alcohol or benzos for YEARS.
I'm so incredibly grateful for sobriety, and absolutely do not want to ever go back to who I was.
YET, My AV is pretty strong these days. "Come on, you've gone 10 months, you don't have a problem" and "just one wouldn't hurt"....blah blah freaking blah.
Also dealing with PAWS. Big time. Especially the anxiety. And the crying for no reason.
This is just me relearning how to feel, right?
I have an appointment with an addiction specialist counselor on Monday. Years of therapy (not sober) feel a bit wasted now, but me SOBER feels it's time to grab this bull by the horns and wrestle it to the ground.
I'm not going to drink or take a pill, but sometimes I sure want to.
Thanks for letting me share.

I think the counselor is a great idea and a perfect time to go for it. I've considered it myself.
Good luck and keep moving forward
Congratulations - it feels so good to see the year coming up in the horizon and know wow, I can do this! I'm almost at 11 months and seeing huge improvements with PAWS and general wellbeing. I hope month 10 is similarly expansive for you!
