What is the average age-range in here?
29, and will be 30 in 7 months. I am 8 days sober, and hope to be feeling much better about myself when I enter the dirty thirties! Haha. I want to look back on my 20's as a learning experience, and start this decade with a clean slate, and mind
Thank you Dee, you are the first with my date who I have met. I need role models to show me the way, and they have been dropping like flies which is one of the characteristics of aging. When they asked George Burns what his Doctors said about his smoking and drinking, he replied my doctors are all dead. My Brother is 88 so I have at least 6 years as long as he stays alive.
What age is old ?
I'm glad to see so many young people here. I didn't get serious enough about my recovery to find my way here 'til I was 55. I wish it had been sooner. SR has been very significant in my recovery; along with AA. So many wasted years...
No regrets though, really. I'm here now, living for today and a better tomorrow for everyone. If you're new here, keep coming back. It WILL get better, in ways you can't possibly imagine, yet!

38 and coming upon 1 year soon enough. Fealing better day by day. I think some of my muscle mass is coming back,,getting stronger again ! I outpaced a bunch of drinkers at kings island park yesterday, and I gotta say, looking at the drinkers was a turn off.
I feel the love today
50 is in the wings, and we are on stage.
I am 41 and 3 years ago I was in the best shape of my life - on my way back there - riding 32 km each way to meetings 4 or 5 times a week (going 7days a week but the other meetings are closer). I wish I had done this years ago(get sober) but grateful I am not doing it years from now!
