how many 12 Step Meetings do you attend ?
I do 2 or 3 AA per week - sometimes more if my schedule allows and I can make a morning meeting down the block. It's a really nice way to start my day. In the beginning I attended a lot of AA and NA then after about 12 years, went a long time with minimal attendance. I've been on this schedule the past couple years.
I also attend the occasional Debtors Anonymous or Underearners Anonymous meeting. I don't consider myself a member but I like their tools.

I attend 12+ a week, a noon meeting and a 5:30 meeting. I am a secretary at both, one meets everyday and the other meets everyday but sunday. I only get to do this because I am waiting for Job Corps to open their enrollment in june. Every now and then I go hit a seperate meeting, a 10pm occasionally and a mens meeting on wednesday. Used to hit a sunday mens meeting but it stopped happening. I spend quite a bit of time at an sober club (would say AA, but per the 6th tradition they're not affiliated). For the time being, and for the past few months, I've lived and breathed AA because that's what's working for me.
When I first got into 12 step, I attended at least one meeting a day. I did that for about 5 months. I also attended three conventions. then I moved to a place with no meetings.
I've been to three meetings in the past three years. I do step work nearly every day. I have 17 months clean and 13 months sober.

sometimes the wording or perspective on another groups literature just hits me and makes sense in a way my NA lit didn't. I was stalled on step 8 until I hit some great reflection questions on an eating disorder anonymous site.
The explanation of the process of addiction in SLA's white book is second to none.
I have been going to one every day with rare exception, and some days I go to two a day. I have no life outside of work though, all I used to do was drink, so I figure I should be filling my time and the best way to do that is meetings . It is getting a little annoying sometimes but I have been sober 100 days now so it seems to be working. Well the meetings, a sponsor, and doing step work seems to be working.
I have a year sober and I do not do 12 step meetings - I do AVRT and work on my own. It is not for everyone, and I highly recommend that you begin with AA if you are new to recovery because the fellowship helps a lot of people get on their feet.
I do attend Al-Anon meetings when I can because it helps keep me sane dealing with my ABF. (I got sober, he did not.)

I hope to always stay in touch
it varies
I did one meeting this last week
going out to the desert in our trailer
I usually do 3 early morning meetings out there each week
I still remember all of the years in which I would go to the desert
and
drink and use like there was no tomorrow
thinking I was living the good life
but
today I truly enjoy being sober in the desert (God's country)
AA and church helped me to realize
this is the (real) good life
so in some kind of a way
I hope to always stay in touch with both
my onehigherpower has been good to me
When I quit drinking I was unable to drive for health reasons and AA was a long way away. Now I am quit and have over six months, I feel SR is all I need. I come here almost every day and I love it here. From the threads I have read from people that go to AA and get hurt, I don't think it would be for me anyway. I am working the 12 steps by myself out of a book 12 steps for Christians. I like that.
Went when I had to (court mandated) years before I ever wanted to stop drinking, and I got out of it what I put in. Not a damn thing.
I've always been shy IRL, and can express myself/ask for help/and on rare occasions give help on these forums much more easily than in any group setting or even a one on one face to face.
